Capturing the Pulse of Sport: My Approach to Commercial Sports Photography

Most of what I shoot is built for campaigns.

Not just capturing sport — creating images that brands can actually use.

Every brief is different, but the goal is always the same — make it land.

Working with clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City, and brands including Nike, Pepsi and Hublot, the standard is high. The images need to do a job — not just look good.

It’s about building images that brands can actually use — campaigns, launches, content that needs to hold attention.

That means understanding:

  • the brand

  • the athlete

  • the environment

  • and how all three come together in a single frame

With athletes, the job isn’t to over-direct.

It’s about creating the right conditions and letting something real come through.

Whether it’s Usain Bolt, Mo Salah or Anthony Joshua — keep it simple, remove distractions, and focus on what actually matters.

Lighting is a big part of how I work.

Everything is deliberate — how the subject is shaped, where the attention sits, what gets left out.

No unnecessary complexity. Just images that hold attention and translate properly into a campaign.

From initial concept through to final delivery, each project is built properly.

We handle:

  • creative development

  • shoot production

  • stills and motion

All with a consistent visual language so the work feels cohesive across platforms.

If you’re working on a campaign and need imagery that’s built to perform, get in touch.
