Shot as part of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year campaign, this series brings together key presenters and personalities including Gary Lineker, Clare Balding and Gabby Logan.

The brief was to create a set of portraits that felt premium, timeless and consistent across multiple locations — with shoots taking place in London, Manchester and Salford.

Lighting was kept deliberately simple and controlled. A soft, sculpted key light paired with gentle fill allowed for clean skin tones and a polished finish, while the warm gradient background added depth without distracting from the subject.

The results used across BBC media/print
