Shot with Bryan Habana for Mission Athletecare, a series developed around performance, recovery and the physical demands of rugby.
The focus was on creating a set of images that feel grounded and real — moving between high-intensity action and quieter, more reflective moments. From stadium-lit scenes to stripped-back locker room portraits, the work highlights both the impact of the game and what it takes to recover from it.
Lighting is kept strong and directional to emphasise strength, fatigue and texture, with each frame built to feel honest rather than overly polished. The result is a body of work that captures the full cycle of the athlete — not just performance, but endurance and recovery too.
As a Rugby photographer in Manchester I am well placed to shoot broadly across the country.
